A famous proverb reads "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." Well our CFO (Chief Fun Officer) makes sure our employees are never bored. Have you ever climbed a 30 foot pole, stood on top as it wobbled, and forced yourself to jump and grab a trapeze 15 feet away? Well we did, and you'd be surprised how rewarding an experience that can be. Evans & Chambers did that and more, completing a wilderness ropes course as a team building event. Other past events include a fun (and delicious) group cooking lesson, a trip to a Wizards game at the MCI center, regular happy hours and quarterly dinners at fine restaurants, and our annual summer picnic and holiday party.

We also provide annual reimbursements for professional training ($5000), graduate degree programs, and physical fitness expenses ($100/month). Each year, we'll contribute a percentage of your annual income to the Fidelity 401k plan of your choice, fully vested day one.

Bonus Plans

EC offers three types of bonus plans.

  • EC Spot Award - an immediate monetary award given to any employee who is recognized by their customer as going beyond the normal duties to provide solutions resulting in immediate results for the customer.
  • EC Performance Bonus - a bonus given on a quarterly basis for an employee's contributions to project and company profitability.
  • EC Employee Referral Bonus - a bonus given to an employee for recommendation of a successfully hired candidate.

Annual Leave

EC employees accrue 18 days of paid time off (PTO) annually. Accrual of PTO hours begins at the time off hire and continues even while an employee uses PTO hours.

Federal Holiday Leave

EC provides 12 paid holidays per year: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas and two floating holidays.

EC promotes participation in professional courses, conferences, seminars, and/or online training programs, reimbursing up to $4000/year.

EC offers tuition assistance up to $6,000.00  to eligible employees who complete job‑related courses with a grade of B or better.

Health and Dental Plans

EC offers two competitive United Healthcare Plans: a PPO and an HMO. With the PPO you may visit any licensed physician or healthcare facility for treatment, but by utilizing in-network providers it reduces your out of pocket cost. HMO health care coverage is also available to all employees. For single coverage EC pays 100% of the healthcare premium. For dependent or family coverage EC pays 80% of your healthcare premium. EC's dental plan is provided by United Healthcare. You may visit any licensed dentist for treatment but by using a network dentist your out of pocket cost is reduced. Plans provide coverage for preventative, routine, major and orthodontic work.

Health and Fitness Reimbursement

EC promotes a healthy workplace, allowing you to improve your health by offering up to $1200/year in reimbursements for your gym membership or sporting activity of choice. Some of the activities that our employees receive reimbursements for are the following: Marathons and Triathalon Fees, Gymnastics, Tennis Lessons, Golf lessons, Company Sports Teams.

Company outings and team events

Building relationships outside of the workplace helps us to perform better in the workplace.  Evans & Chambers schedules a full itinerary of events throughout the year to give employees the opportunity to simply have fun and let their hair down.  Events in the past have included a team ropes course, pro basketball games, monthly happy hours, and quarterly dinners.

401(k) Savings Plan

EC provides benefits for tomorrow by offering investment programs designed to help you build a secure financial future. In the Evans & Chambers Section 401(k) Plan managed by Fidelity Investments, the company contributes a minimum of 6% of your eligible pay annually, vested immediately.  Investment options in the Plan provide a diversified range of investment choices for Plan participants across 12 different asset classes. Lastly, EC and First Financial Group partner together to provide you top-notch educational tools and financial advice on various retirement topics free of charge.

Flexible Spending Accounts.

EC offers its employees the ability to set aside pre-tax dollars up to $2000.00 for health care expenses and $5000 for dependent care expenses.

Income Replacement (Disability)

EC's disability plan preserves a portion of your income if you are unable to work as a result of illness, injury or pregnancy. Short-term disability coverage is provided to employees. After a seven day elimination period, employee's will receive 60% of their weekly earnings for a period of 13 weeks.  Long-term disability is available at 60% of monthly earnings to a maximum of $6,000.00.

Life Insurance

EC provides employees with Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D) at one times base salary (including commissions). Supplemental life and AD&D insurance is also available.
